Why I might not read “You Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero again
“You Are a Badass” by Jen Sincero is a book that promises to help you live your best life, but for me, I found it a little too “self-helpy”. I mean, don’t get me wrong, Sincero’s writing style is very engaging, and she’s got a great sense of humor. But most of the time I felt it was peddling the whole “you can do anything you set your mind to” without a lot of emphasis on the “How”.
The book does have some practical advice, like how to shift negative thought patterns and create a clear vision for your life. But a lot of it just felt like empty platitudes. I don’t need someone telling me to “take action towards my goals” or “believe in myself”. I need real, concrete steps that I can take to make progress.
That being said, I do think “You Are a Badass” could be helpful for some people. If you’re someone who’s really struggling with self-doubt and limiting beliefs, the book might provide the motivation you need to start taking action. And if you’re someone who’s into the whole “law of attraction” thing, you’ll probably love it.
Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend “You Are a Badass” to everyone. But if you’re someone who’s looking for a quick and easy read that’s full of inspirational quotes and anecdotes, it might be worth checking out. Just don’t expect it to change your life overnight.
Peace✌🏽
